Our Long Term Care has 25 beds with the majority of rooms being private. Each room has a hi-lo bed, which allows residents easier access in and out of their bed, a bedside table, a dresser, and bathroom. Residents are encouraged to personalize their rooms.
Meals are served table side, allowing residents to select beverages, entrees and sides.
Residents and staff enjoy volunteers who play live music and lead routine church services, as well as a variety of other activities planned throughout the month. Our residents also enjoy watching birds in the aviary, playing bingo and other games, gardening, and movies. A new computer with camera capabilites now allows residents to Skype with family members.
Residents are encouraged to participate in the units restorative program that is overseen by the nursing department. Residents can work toward maintaining or increasing muscle tone.
Our Long Term Care unit really completes the family atmosphere when Charlie, the units resident assistant dog, comes to visit. He is a friend to residents, families and staff.
We are Medicaid certified and are surveyed by the State at a minimum of every 15 months.
