JETMORE, Kansas – September 27, 2017 – David Burkhart, Chair of the Hodgeman County Health Center Board of Trustees, announced today that John Broberg, FACHE has been appointed the Interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO) effective Monday, October 2, 2017. Mr. Broberg has been in health care for 43 years including 27 years as a senior leader. He has been CEO for three different hospitals. He retired from Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan in 2016 and started Broberg Consulting Group, LLC to provide executive coaching and interim CEO services. Mr. Broberg attended the board meeting on Wednesday, September 27 to discuss his interim strategy.
Mr. Broberg has provided leadership to successfully implement culture changing initiatives in four different organizations that resulted in improvement in employee engagement, operational and financial performance. Mr. Burkhart shared that one of the primary goals the board has asked Mr. Broberg to focus on is to assist the board with the selection of a new CEO for the hospital.
Hodgeman County Health Center operates a 13 bed CAH with Emergency Room, 25 bed Long Term Care, two rural health clinics, O’Shea Memorial and Spearville Medical, and a independent living complex Bramley Place.
